DRABBLE: Untroubled; Remus/Peter; G

thewlisian_aferDespite having many many other things to write, including some things for school, I have written more Remus/Peter. I swear, the next thing I write will be something else. Anything else. Because except for one Remus/Sirius, I haven't written anything but Remus/Peter since the 16th.

Things didn't really change that much. Life went on pretty much like it always had. The only difference was now Remus and Peter each knew how the other felt, and sometimes they acted on it. Now when Remus headed off to research or to study or to just be by himself and Peter said "I love you," instead of getting a nod and a small smile, he got a nod and a quick kiss. Remus wasn't always good at showing affection, but Peter knew he meant to be. His smiles were warmer, and sometimes he'd nuzzle Peter's hair when nobody else was looking. It was enough.
Sirius, when he found out about them, was overjoyed. "D'you think he's glad that he doesn't have to… well, worry about you now?" Peter asked one night, as he and Remus sat with their backs leaning together, working on a Transfiguration assignment.
"What do you mean?" Remus replied absently.
"Well, do you think he knew you… er. Liked him?"
"Loved him," Remus corrected. He paused and made a mark on the diagram he was drawing. "And yes."
"So all that stuff was on purpose, you think?"
"Yes." Remus sounded totally untroubled.
"Er…" said Peter nervously. "That doesn't upset you?"
"Should it?" He still didn't look up from his work.
"Well, I mean…" Peter began, but Remus interrupted him.
"It doesn't matter. I have you."
