Total stories written this year (1 January to present): Fifty-four. List can be found here.
Favourites of the batch: A First Time For Everything, which I wrote while drunk. There's More To Company Than Conversation, because I adore the Charlie that lives in my head.
Best of the batch (yes, it is a slightly different question): Perhaps Origami, one of my QP drabbles.
Most underappreciated by the universe: Ugh. None of them. I don't really think I wrote much this year that actually merits appreciation.
Most fun to write: I think maybe Out To Lunch, my first (and only) attempt at an actual threesome. It was a challenge and I'm not really all that happy with how it turned out but it was still fun to try.
Sexiest fic: Maybe Moving On. My LMOM goal originally was to write a different pairing every day and at this point I was still actually going for that, so I had to write some pairings I didn't want to. This one fit into that category. Because I didn't want to write Remus/Harry, I couldn't think of any real plot and I wasn't thrilled with the idea of smut. But interweaving the smut with flashback dialogue drew it out and added a kind of suspense and I think it turned out rather sexy. I even got a request for it to be archived.
"Holy crap, that's wrong even for you" fic: I'm not sure if the "even for you" part needs to be here for me. I'm really not big on the 'wrong' stuff. I like reading it, but not writing it so much. This year, though, produced Play Along, which I actually dreamed first. And I expanded that into Breaking Point (part i, ii, iii, iv, v, vi, vii) for LMOM at
pervy_werewolf. Also disturbing was Weapons and Toys. And Dirt was rather wrong, too.
Fic that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: I don't think they shifted my perceptions but A First Time For Everything, Because and If Only all made me very aware of how Sirius is in my head.
Hardest fic to do: The entire second half of LMOM. Each fic had to be rated at least PG-13 and I get very tired of smut very quickly, so I was really forcing it.
Biggest disappointment: Er. Hah. Um. Pretty much all of it. x_x Not very pleased with my writing this year.
Biggest surprise: Breaking Point. I planned that sucker out, and it still ended ... not how I wanted it to.
Most telling fic: Tough question. This year I veered away from quite so blatantly showing myself through the characters that I write, I think. But if I had to come up with an answer, I'd say looking at what I've written with Charlie would tell you the most.
