I had things I wanted to say about quite a few of the clickies here. But I can't get past A Wrinkle In Time being a banned book ANYWHERE. Actually, I have trouble with any books being banned anywhere, but AWIT is a personal favorite of mine. It's not scary, the witches aren't harming anyone and family units are very much at the heat of the story. Why would anything so wonderful be banned?
FFS, I read AWIT the first time when I was about 10 and I still read it every few years. And I'm very obviously encouraging my own daughter to read it as well. It's well paced, exciting and has an ending that is happy without being all cheesy and insulting. It also expand my vocabulary on a level not many other books can claim.
