There was a time when I really adored Mel Gibson. Recently my opinion has deteriorated and I know I'm definitely not alone there. Heh. However, it's totally in my nature to give people the benefit of the doubt and to be forgiving and to give second (and third and fourth and fifth...) chances. So check this out.

Apparently, Mr. Gibson has had yet another newsworthy freakout dealing with racism. TMZ paints him in a poor light. Sounds like Mel's being an ass again! Time to break out the "DIAF" signs and wave them around, right?

Maybe not. fox_gloves was there and has a firsthand account of what went down. Interesting how it differs from the news.

That's pretty typical of media coverage of such things, these days. They often leave out so much context that the reader could assume almost anything they liked from the remaining text. Or leave in only that which serves their political goals, as TMZ's report seems to be doing. I try not to put too much trust into anything I see/hear/read in the news. Or anywhere, for that matter. (O.o)

I have no words. Well, I have lots of words, but most of them relate to the amercian media in general. However, this is perfect timing, because I needed two articles that contradicted each other for my Media, Politics, Sex and Violence class. Buahahaha
