MOAR DEATH!!!! Man Dies Dancing in Parking Lot

My first reaction to this was, "Aw, poor guy. :(" Then I pictured the scene and had to bite my lip to keep myself from actually laughing out loud. I mean... It's not funny that it happened for real. But it's absolutely the kind of thing you'd see in some stupid comedy film -- a 48-year-old guy having a heart attack in, like ... a Walmart parking lot or something, in the middle of "battle dancing."

School Board Sued Over 'Brokeback' Viewing

On one hand, R-rated movies should not be screened to 12-year-olds without permission from parents/guardians. On the other hand, anyone who is "traumatized by the movie and [has] to undergo psychological treatment and counseling" because of it was probably in need of a little help to begin with.

Teachers Stage Fake Gun Attack on Kids

"Staff members of an elementary school staged a fictitious gun attack on students during a class trip, telling them it was not a drill as the children cried and hid under tables." Who the fuck thought this was a good idea? Oh my God.

You know, I'm all for Brokeback Mountain and all that but... My University Professors don't show R rated movies. I remember my Japanese professor fast forwarding through this one scene in a Japanese gameshow that involved a scantily-clad woman, and my Political Science professor was really worried about showing Sex in the City in class.

Indeed. That kind of blew my mind. Dude, there's a whole 'nother MPAA rating below that one that 12-year-olds aren't "supposed" to see. haha Personally, if I had kids, I think I might let 'em watch it. Though probably not at school because I'd want to field any questions myself.
