I am adamant that it was not a dream. An alternate reality where humans have created Shared Dreaming, yes, but not a dream.

Though I agree with him that I noticed some commentary on filmmaking. I wouldn't call the people in the heist the crew, but yes, when Cobb is talking to Michael Caine about the "build cathedrals" thing, THAT is commentary on filmmaking. The Prestige was very much the same way.

I really think the whole point of the movie is that it doesn't matter if it's a dream or not. But if I have to pick a side, I say the ending isn't a dream. And some of that guy's points to "prove" it ... are wrong. So ... yeah. XD

I'd really love to compare the ending to the ending of Blade Runner, but since you haven't seen that, I can't spoil you. It very much has the ambiguous ending, too.

Yeah, I find that if it was that obvious, Nolan would have made a POINT as such. But since the costume designer said the children were wearing different clothes at the end of the movie... I also feel it cheapens the movie to have it be "all a dream."

I was playing around with my Netflix queue earlier and changed around the order of a few of my planned sets. Now the movies I'm watching for youuuuu are 7-11 instead of being in the 20s like they were before. So I'll have seen Blade Runner before too awfully long. :D ♥

I'm really not sure how you'll think of it, and it does drag in bits. But the cinematography is just fantastic.

Also *squee* my epic cinematography list is coming up!

I almost tweeted that link to you directly, but it was the day that Twitter was being funky with the @ messages, so I crossed my fingers that you'd catch it here. :D
